shorelines makes fishing from the shore very easy. The species

Nothing like
having the president of the Ohio Huskie Muskie Club demonstrate that he is
worthy of the office by catching a monster Muskie himself. That is
just what Fred Lederer of Perrysburg did over the recent Memorial Day
weekend while fishing at Pymatuning Lake on the northeast Ohio-Pennsylvania
border. He landed a 47 1/2-inch muskellunge, or muskie, that weighed an
arm-straining 46 pounds.

Florida fisherman lands
844-pound shark
DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — Six friends
went to a fishing tournament looking to catch some grouper. They caught an
844-pound shark instead. The fight by Adlee Bruner and friends to pull
the 11-foot mako shark onto the boat from the Gulf of Mexico took more than
an hour. But when they made it back to land, it was a record for the
decades-old Destin Fishing Rodeo.

Walleye Tour
Championship in Cleveland
CLEVELAND – Lake Erie turned to
glass on day three of the Wal-Mart FLW Walleye Tour Championship, allowing
the best fishermen in the world to put on quite a show. Nine out of
the 10 pros caught five-fish limits, but the trademark Erie monsters were
peculiarly absent. The exception was in the BFGoodrich Tires boat.

FLW Comes to Cleveland
Lake Erie is without a doubt
the world’s best walleye fishery. So it’s only fitting that the world’s best
walleye anglers end their season-long journey on its bountiful waters.

forward to the chance of landing into a

Every spring the walleye migrate from Lake Erie into the Maumee River to
spawn. This spawn makes up the largest walleye run east of the
