The new state record Brown Trout was caught by Robert Campbell of Dunbar, Pennsylvania.  The fish measured 27.25 inches and weighed 14.675 pounds.  The current State Record is 29.25 inches and 14.65 pounds held by Timothy Byrne.  The new record must approved by the Outdoor Writers of Ohio, which is the organization that keeps the State Records.  Campbell was fishing out of Geneva State Park on DB Sport Fishing Charters.

Mosquito Lake Boat Ramps Closed

The hot dry weather has effected a lot of things this summer, including the lakes and reservoirs.  The water levels at Mosquito Lake, the 7,850 acre lake located in Trumbull county, have dropped 3.5 feet below summer pool.  Due to the low water conditions the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have closed the ramps at State Routes 88 and 305.  Boaters are able to use the  ramps in the State Park for now.
